Bisan Center for Research and Development, represented by its Executive Director, Mr. UbaIi Al-Aboudi, and Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, represented by its President, Professor Hussein Shenk, signed a joint cooperation agreement to organize the Sixth Olive Conference, and a second agreement to enhance partnership in the fields of environmental agriculture, scientific research, and sustainable development.

Mr. Al-Aboudi explained that the agreement reflects the Center's commitment to supporting community knowledge and applied scientific research. He emphasized that the cooperation with Kadoorie University represents a true model of partnership between the academic sector and civil society organizations, particularly in the areas of environmental agriculture and community resilience, where the goals of both parties converge in achieving sustainable development and supporting the agricultural sector.

For his part, Professor Shenk provided an overview of the university's current situation, its development projects, and the existing challenges. He explained that signing this agreement aligns with the university's commitment to expanding cooperation with civil society organizations and linking academic research to national development issues. He noted that the partnership with the Bisan Center contributes to raising environmental awareness and supporting applied research initiatives that serve the Palestinian agricultural sector, a cornerstone of Palestinian life and economy.

The two agreements included provisions for cooperation between the two parties in organizing the Sixth Olive Conference, hosted by Khodouri University this month, and the Bisan Center's participation in its research and media activities. They also included cooperation in the fields of environmental agriculture and sustainable development, and the development of joint research projects and studies that serve Palestinian society and enhance integration between the university and civil society organizations.
